She even notice when I repeat her words. It is somehow a joy to watch her grow, physically and intelligently. Amazing how everyday I discover new things that just make my heart melt. She notice things that sometime I don't even notice.

The more I see her grow the older I grow. What an irony aye :)

OO beach

I am not saying that we are against freedom of body expression (that's what fkk beach is all about), but when travelling with kids an see such a scene, it is just hard to explain.

On this trip we decided to go for a walk at a far side of the Danube river bank. At the beginning it was a hidden paradise because none was there, but after walking about one kilometer and out of no people at all there were one couple laying bare without anything on, we were just surprised. Not knowing that we were actually at a OO beach. Funny because we wanted to keep quite and just passed the bare couple. However the kids kept asking and saying out loud about po and stuff. Was quite embarrassing to us in a way.

Then we try to avoid such a scene by going to the other side of the river, without even know that the other side was actually the hub or center of one of the oldest and popular OO spot in Vienna. I also heard from someone that it has been existed since the time of the emperor.

Funny yet entertaining trip, especially for the kids.

 

No more kisses

I guess there is time limit when a dad get kisses from their kids. One morning i kissed her when she wasn't noticing. But she didn't like it and revolted.

Then her mom (as know from the women side) said that a girl at a certain age can decide if she wants a kiss from her parents or not and as parent I need to ask before I kiss her. She refused to be kissed and the rest (sister and their mom) also refused.

Now I am a kissless dad and wonder when the time will come back again.

 

The Bats

When I was a kid back when I was still living in Bali, I remember our mango tree always got ransacked by the bats shortly before the mango season come.

Now when the kids left apples half uneaten, it always makes me sad too see and also a bad memory recall of my childhood.

Funny, after telling the bats story to the kids, they stopped their bad behavior of leaving half eaten fruits gone wasted. It really works and our fruit stays longer in the fruit bowl. Also give me some chance to have some actually :)

 

 

push me if you dare...

This is a regular game we play from time to time. I seat or squat and the girls try their hardest to push me until I fall. Some of the time they succeed. This is also because I make it light for them.

Worst things can happen like drooling on my face....yukeeee

 

 

The five whys

 

 

The five whys is actually a technique to find out what is actually the main reason behind "question". Say if something is not going the right direction, then the best way to solve this is by asking why is this thing not going well...then you should go deeper into the cause usually by the 5th time there should be a result or lets say the core cause of the problem.

There is something interesting about a kid's why question. They tend to ask about everything and as parent the most important thing is to truthfully answer all questions.

She has grown

Kids are cute, but the time of the cuteness are limited. I remember when Neela or Juno were babies, they looked like the cutest sausages ever existed.

Few years later looking at the now and then pictures on our cameras, we were really surprised on how fast they have grown.

It is very important to record every precious moment.

I have to confess that she is like me. We usually talk about things that are so abstract and most of the time doesn't make any sense. When we get into conversation we were like talking on a phone but different lines.

This conversation is recorded from my point of view.

Gangnam Style, Vienna Style

 

 

Gangnam Style from Psy has creep all the way to our apartment in the middle of winter in Vienna.

Kids love it and always gone mental dancing in from of the television when they see PSY.

Morning chores

 

 

I think every parent go through it. Some have a chores during meal time, some have chores when bathing them. My chores is bringing two girls to kindergarten everyday. Sometime it works just fine, but when things change...like in this example when she saw a some riding a bike, she immediately wanted the same.

Joy in time of illness

Joy in the time of illness doesn't happened often. Being sick make someone become really short tempered especially when his/her sleep is disturbed by rowdy kids playing around. It's impossible to just to turn the off button.

But somehow I did and it was the nicest thing I've ever experience. Not just the fact that I was able to sleep again, but the fact seeing such beauty and innocent look in the of illness lifted up my spirit.

Cartridge Junkie

This is an old story when we were still living in NZ. Actually I really almost got kicked out of the medical center because I was asking to syringe and they thought I was a Junkie.

Remember, no cuddling.

 

 

 

 

No cuddling was a technique introduce by my neighbor when we were still living in NZ.The deal is when the child woke up in the middle of the night, you should comfort her but without kissing, looking in the eyes and no cuddling.

Well..it work occasionally, but not most of the time.
